China’s media informed that Bitmain, which produces mining equipment , is creating a device for extraction of Ethereum blockage. According to the IBTimes portal, with which Chinese sources shared information, 3 motherboards with 6 video cards will be integrated in the ASIC-miner Antminer F3, each board will be equipped with 32 RAM modules in accordance with the DDR3 standard of 1 GB each.
The technical data of the new miner are already known, in particular, the hashtet will be 200-220 MH / s, which for the specified configuration seems to be a low value. It is possible that as a result of further development, this indicator will increase with time. Several issues remain unclear, namely, why manufacturers use obsolete memory modules, and the type of the video chip used for Ethereum mining remains unknown.
The release date of the new ASIC-miner to the market is unknown, but if production is expected to begin in late February, mid-year enthusiasts of the crypto currency will already be able to purchase the device. The preliminary cost of the miner is expected in the range of 2500-3000 dollars.
